Pre-graduate research assistant, Brain Research Laboratory, Faculty of Psychology, University of Vienna.
Main research interests:
My research interests centre on the cognitive and neuronal mechanisms subserving human visual perception and memory. Thereby I focused on high-level adaptation and priming effects of face recognition, object perception and aesthetic appreciation. I am currently engaged in EEG correlates on the impact of familiarity on face perception.
A more novel research interest of mine concerns meditation and neurotherapy. In cooperation with the Wuttke Institute of Neurotherapy, Santa Barbara, California, USA, I am exploring the effect of neuro-therapy (neurofeedback, low intensity pulsed electromagnetic (pEMF) stimulation, tACS) on the meditation experience and psychological well-being of both novel and advanced meditators.
